The departure board, on your wall
The same departures full screen in any browser: your stops, your walking times from the door, your logo. A URL on a screen, refreshed by itself, nobody touches it.
Who puts it up
- Hotels and hostels
- Reception stops answering "how do I get to Alexanderplatz" forty times a day. Guests see the airport line and when to leave for it.
- Cafés and bakeries by a station
- A reason to sit down for one more coffee: next tram in nine minutes. It looks good on the wall and needs nothing from the staff.
- Co-working spaces and office receptions
- The evening rush on the wall, an amenity that says you thought about the commute.
- Office kitchens
- The leave-now moment for a whole floor, sold to the office manager, set up in an afternoon.
What is on the board
Up to three stops side by side, each with the walking time from your door applied, so every row is a departure a guest can still make. Line badges in the official colours, the direction as VBB prints it, the countdown as the hero, time and delay beside it, cancellations struck through. "Live · refreshed 14 seconds ago" turns into "No live data" when the data stops, and the board stays on the wall.
How it runs
Any browser on any TV, tablet or monitor. Open the screen URL once; the page keeps itself current. It drops into Yodeck, ScreenCloud and Rise Vision as a web page, and a Fire TV Stick with a kiosk browser turns any TV into a board for about forty euros.
What you get for it
Your logo on the board, your stops and walking times, changes that reach the screen within a minute, and an email when a screen has been silent for fifteen minutes and another when it is back. The screen sets no cookies, loads no trackers and shows no banner, so a departure board raises no GDPR question.
